We are located in Hinton, Oklahoma and are focused on raising top quality buffalo.  Our buffalo roam the plains and are never put into feedlots.  They have access to grass, hay and a natural low protein feed.  Animals are not treated with hormones or any type of growth stimulants.  They are vaccinated and treated medically if they become ill.  No animal is ever fed any animal by-products such as those that have experienced mad cow disease. 

Sandy Springs is happy to announce our award winning buffalo.  Chief Bud son of GW Rio Grande and SSFM Stubborn won 1st place 2 year old bull at the Kansas Buffalo Show and Sale December, 2003.  His full sister won second place yearling heifer at the same show.  December 2004 winning at the Kansas Buffalo Show and Sale 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place heifer calf and 2nd place 2 year-old bull.  The 1st place heifer calf won Grand Champion Female. 

January 2007 our bull calf son of GW Rio Grande and SSFM Stubborn won Gold at the National Bison Association Gold Trophy Show and Sale.  This is the first year we took animals to the National Show and won a Gold.  We are very excited and thankful for this award.  The icing on the cake was winning the Rookie of the Year.
